Definition Any of a variety of man-made structures (such as sunken ships or collapsed drilling rigs) that have fallen to the seafloor. They may be either completely or partially submerged. Wrecks often provide valuable habitat for attaching organisms or fish, but they may also leach contaminants into the environment.
